The common cold, unfinished summer homework, volleyball tournaments and more!

Ok, I haven't blogged in awhile but I redesigned my whole site when I came on yesterday. Now I'm back to blogging...for a little while, that is.

So on Tuesday night was the Freshman/New Kid orientation at my school and I helped at that...it was kind of fun, I guess you could say. It's just that I was in their place last year, and it was exciting. Now it's just boring. But fun because you get to meet a whole bunch of new people who you'll see everyday in the next school year.

I'm very upset because, well, I should probably blame the orientation for my cold because I got it the morning after the orientation took place. My school is hazardous to my health ha, ha. Just kidding, I love my school! [I'm seriously not joking, I love my school. I love going there everyday...call me weird if you wish] I'm also very upset because I got my period tonight and I didn't even sense it coming. So I'm getting some very interesting mood swings. Period + Cold = me in a not so very good mood.

The last few days of summer are going to go by all too fast in my opinion. I still have some back to school shopping to do for both supplies and clothes, summer homework to complete (yeah, I was too lazy to do it in the three months I had off so I'm paying for it big time), driving practice (Mom wants me to be able to drive to and from the elementary school campus where I catch the bus so I can add to the 50 hours I'm working towards so that I can take drivers ed), and room cleaning!

Now back to the homework - I have to read David McCullough's biography on John Adams and answer twenty-something questions about it. It's kind of hard because well, I find some biographies boring and the questions are really hard to find. I'm a little over halfway done and have fourteen or so more questions to answer. I'm going to plan on working on that early Saturday morning and then go driving that afternoon. I just hope I can find some time to clean my room...

Volleyball's been going really well and Varsity has been a lot more fun than I thought it would be. I'm number 21 and a middle hitter (my favorite position!), but I do know that the competition will be a whole lot fiercer than when it was when I played on JV last year, my freshman year.

I ramble when I'm tired, so I guess I'm going to go to bed now. Goodnight, all.
